Poised In Turquoise

I am obviously on a turquoise kick this week, as you can see from my outfits yesterday and today.
I was unsure if I should wear two turquoise items in the same outfit when I left the house this morning, but I thought, why not? Looking at the pics now, I think I pulled it off. What do you think? Are it the turquoise tights and scarf too much at once?
I've wanted to steal this sweater from my sister's closet so many times. Before she went back to college, after this past Thanksgiving, she said I could borrow it while she was away. Whoo Hoo!! And I didnt even tell her my secret coveting thoughts. She must have had a feeling I was obsessed with it.
Leather Jacket: Target
Sweater: Borrowed from Sister (orig. from Target)
Skirt: Target
Tights: Target
Booties: Target
Scarf: Buffalo Exchange
I did not realize until now that my entire outfit (except the scarf) is from Target. I should be their spokesmodel :). Hey, you never know...... dream big, right?

Bringing the 80's back!

Yep, I am channeling another decade in this outfit, but I felt so good in it!
Turquoise is one of my favorite colors, and I love the splotchy look of these tight acid-wash jeans from Forever 21!
A HUGE (and warm - brrrrr, I am not used to cold weather in So. Cal.) trend right now is a fitted and/or cropped leather (or faux-leather) jacket. This one (as my friend mentioned to me) does not exactly fit into WearNecessities cheap-n-chic theme with its $70 price-tag, but it IS real leather and kept me warm when I wore it on a motorcycle a few times a couple of years ago!
I love this outfit with its combination of edgy (jacket and booties) with the soft ruffles at the bottom of this shirt!
Shirt: Fashion Avenue $8
Leather Jacket: Target $70
Jeans: Forever 21 $22
Booties: Target $30
Necklace: Wal-Mart $5

Natalya

The First Rain of the Season

Today was the first rain of the season. It didn't just rain, it poured! It was about 50 degrees Fahrenheit here in Southern California, which for us locals is FREEZING. You can see in my previous posts that just a few days ago I was wearing short sleeves....
Here I am being my goofy self!
Today I decided I needed to buy my Dad another Fedora. Since this one was his, and he is traveling to freezing cold Canada this week..... I decided instead of giving it back :), that I should buy him one for his Hanukah present. I suprised him with it at his office after work today. He is the best Dad ever (love you Dad) because he has nothing but excitement for me about this blog. Isn't he the greatest?

Fedora: from Dad :)
Skirt: F21 $14
Cami: Styles For Less $5
Belt: Free with a dress I bought

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone! I had a shopping filled weekend - so many relatives to buy gifts for. I'm glad to be back at work, gotsta make that dough (if you know what I mean), to pay for all these gifts. The good thing is there were lots of sales, so I think I did pretty good. Why do people all rush out to get their gifts on black Friday, when there are still tons of sales afterwards? I don't get it.

picked up these yellow rose bud earrings from f21. they were calling my name. :)
dark blue cardigan: second hand thrift store $10
gray cardigan: Target $12
Jeans: American Eagle $40
Cami: H&M $8

Turtleneck

DSC02031.jpg picture by wearnecessities
Picked up this seahorse cuff from Melrose Trading Post in LA with my sister a while back, and haven't really worn it because it looked a little gaudy to me - such a bright gold color! It's unique and cute though. :)

Tights: Target $9

Shoes: Target

Belt: Urban Outfitters $9
Cuff: $7

ps. why do they call these shirts turtlenecks? anyone know? Im curious, because they don't remind me of a turtle...

Pure & Utter Silliness

You just need to know this blog is unlike others in that I totally end up in uncontrollable fits of laughter during our photo shoots and obviously as you can see from the pics I don't try to hide or edit it. I am trying to display my lovely outfit here so I hope you are not distracted by the belly-laughing I am doing in the pics!
I believe the best things in life are the things that can make you roll with laughter. It is truly theraputic. Kerri gives me funny looks sometimes but neither of us can ever keep a straight face!

I love this teensy skirt I found this past weekend!

Kickin' up my heels!
I almost didnt post this pic of me laughing hard cause it's kinda embarassing, but it captured what our photo sessions are like SO well! Good photography Kerri!

Skirt: F21 $14.80 (new)
Jacket: H&M $30?

I'm Wearing Pink Pants and I Like It!

Remember my post about wanting colored Xhilaration by Target skinny jeans in every color?! Well, they finally went on clearance and I got them for a thrifty $10 last week!

Because I am so in love with colors right now, I thought I'd add another pop of color with this beautiful shimmery teal scarf I found this week for another mere $10!

I feel like I am channeling the 80's today and up until a few years ago I would never be caught dead in anything except black and dark blue colors, let alone bright pink! So this is definately a BIG transformation for me! I'M WEARING PINK PANTS AND I LIKE IT!!

Shirt: Marshalls?
Scarf: Buffalo Exchange $10 (new)
Jeans: Target clearance $10!
Boots: Nordstrom $90?
Leather Jacket: Target $70

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been so MIA lately - been super busy and not very fashionably inspired. This dress helped me out of my funk though. I really like the idea of dressing down a fancy dress (otherwise it wouldnt get worn that much which makes me so sad because I love this dress). So I just threw it on with some tights, boots, casual belt and cardigan - easy and comfy! I'm definitely down for easy, comfy and cute. Anywho glad to be back :)
Dress: Forever 21
Cardigan: Forever 21
Tights: Gap $10
Boots: Target $10
